Soekris Disk images - Readymade disk images for Soekris

This page provides some disk image files which can be used with Soekris systems.

• FreeBSD5.4-RELEASE with KAME patch
  • Avaliable as a 128MB disk image (FreeBSD5.4R+KAME-20050707.diskimage).
  • Avaliable as a 512MB disk image (FreeBSD5.4R+KAME-20050728-512M.dd).
  • Works with net4521 (at least). You need to upgrade the Soekris firmware in order to the 512MB Compact Flash image works.
  • The initial root password is 'root'.
  • With MIP6 or NEMO support as a mobile node. To configure it properly, please refer to http://www.mobileip.jp.
  • According to the image you have downloaded, this image is created to be used with a 128MB or 512MB compact flash memory card. You can copy it on the CF card using the following command (where cfdevice is the device to access your Compact Flash card):
    
    # dd if=FreeBSD5.4R+KAME.diskimage of=/dev/cfdevice bs=16k
  • Older images
